Mission Statement/Function:
Located in central Austin, San Juan Diego serves hardworking students from city
neighborhoods with the greatest education and needs. Students work one day a week at one of many
prominent sponsor companies while they also develop academically, spiritually
and emotionally through challenging classes that prepare them for college and
the world beyond. One of only four schools of its kind in the nation, San Juan
Diego invites qualified students to experience an education they would not have
had otherwise and a chance to serve as role models for their own and future
